Woodcarvings I’m working on

  • Carved Santa with Christmas Wreath

Here’s a handsome trio of carved Santa’s, the one on the left is holding a Christmas wreath, the Santa in the middle is holding a star and the Santa on the right is standing next to a stack of Christmas presents. His robe features a candle and holly pattern as well!

  • Carved Cottonwood Bark Gnomes

Carved Gnomes are great because they can be displayed all year! The Gnome on the left has a bittersweet vine with mushroom ‘patches’ and the Gnome on the right is holding his favorite mushroom he just found!

  • Carved Cottonwood Bark ‘Lounging’ Santa

Here’s a couple of carved cottonwood bark Santa’s- the one on the left is lounging around after a busy holiday season and the one on the right has a cap with a bittersweet vine that wraps around ‘patches’ that say ‘Santa’ , ‘Joy’ and ‘Noel’..

  • Carved Santa with a ‘Bluebird’ cane

In this trio of carves Santa’s, the one on the left was carved with 2 bluebirds resting on his cane. The Santa in the middle is a new Santa carving project done in white cedar and he is holding his favorite Christmas tree with a banner that reads ‘Joy’ and ‘Noel’. The carved Santa on the right is a classic Santa standing on a Christmas box.

  • Carved Santa Holding A Star

In addition to the Santa holding a star, the Santa in the middle was recently carved from white cedar and the Santa on the right is standing with his snowman that has twig arms and a flowing beard.

  • Santa with Corgi

I carved this Santa holding a Corgi that was modeled after my Corgi, ‘Max’

  • Carved Halloween Witches

These are just a couple of carved ’pencil’ witches that I just finished as a part of a YouTube beginning wood carving series, the video is available here.

  • Carved Santa with tree

This Santa was carved from a white cedar post and because you can’t carve knots I made him stepping up on the knot..
