I've just about finished this Santa Carving and I'd like to add a gold banner with text and as much other detail that I can in the space that I have.. Between text and a vine behind the banner and a little extra work, I think I've added some extra interest and texture to this carving~

I have been wood carving along the theme of the "12 Days Of Christmas" and decided to carve a Santa with three french hens out of white cedar. Carving a White Cedar Santa from start to finish
This was carved from a 2"x6" piece of basswood and can be fully hand carved in about 30-40 minutes! I used grapevine for the hands and the top stem and they were painted in acrylics and sealed with a water based polyurethane.
